Originally from Switzerland and born from a Swiss / Italian mother & a Spanish father, Michael was brought to the music really early following his father musician & disc jockey in Swiss Discotheque, at the time was the Funky Disco era.

He started learning mixing House music in 1990 with well known Swiss DJ "DJ Massive" playing a blend of Techno, Nu' Energy & Trance. In 1991 he bought his first DJ System, two Technics MK2 turntables & a mixer, from then he keep training his mixes & sound selection at home, taking every opportunity to organize house parties with his friends. Going every summer for school vacation, he played in many countries as a rookie DJ, in Gijon & Barcelona in Spain, Ricione & Rimini in Italia, Amsterdam in Holland and even till Bogota in Colombia.

After finishing his studies in 1994 and graduated from Art School with a Graphic Designer certificate he wanted to travel & see the world and moved to Sydney Australia to learn English & work.

Michael amatory participate to the Australian DMC competition in 1994 at the UNSW Sydney, finishing 3rd in the middle of big name's Australian top DJ's, this toke him to spin in many Venues in King Cross, Darling Hurst & other bush party around Sydney.

After working as a free lance graphic designer & finishing his English School in Sydney, Australia his love for traveling toke him around Asia passing by exotics country like Indonesia, Philippines, Malaysia, Hong Kong & Singapore. In 1999 back in Switzerland he created his design concept "KMP design", DJing was more a hobby then a real job in Switzerland. Loving traveling & thirsty to know the rest of the world he wanted to see & feel South America and went via America stopping by cities like Los Angeles, San Francisco, Las Vegas then Bogota & Santa Marta Colombia down to Quito Ecuador always carrying his DJ bag & spinning at every venue he could. In 2004 after satisfying his adventure need, he went back to settle down in South East Asia where he felt good & free.

Today living between Jakarta, Bali & Singapore and enjoying it, Michael Vagas spin in Venues around South East Asia like Platinum Club, De Bali Lounge in Johor Baru, KM8 "Cao Private Beach Party" Santosa in Singapore, Double Six Club, Sky Garden Lounge, DJ Cafe in Bali, well known Clubs X2, Vertigo, Centro & Public in Jakarta, also touring in all major city of Indonesia for the past 2 years.

Michael describes himself as a Teky Electro Shaman sharing new possibilities for being human through his DJ act playing a unique Shamanic Style of Tech Electro House Psy Prog Set.

He is indeed a DJ with excellent credentials, consistently wowing crowds with his technical brilliance, distinctly unique mixing style and energy behind the decks. His sets are always fresh, original and well thought about. Michael mixes Electro, Techno & Progressive tinged House with twisted uplifting Psy breaks and he is also a pure, Deep n' Funky House lover.

The music Michael Vagas plays depends on what Venue he is booked but you can always expect his sets to be fresh, melodic, Tech Electro Housey Progressive and dance floor friendly proving his passion for the sounds he plays. No blips and blops from this DJ!
