Hot Girls and Cold Nights

The Annual Wave House Beanies and Bikinis Contest has become something of a local legend, and with the 2009 edition sponsored by Sun Diego and Monster Energy Drink, big cash prizes, lots of hotties and live music thrown into the mix a good time was guaranteed.

Some of the hottest girls in SoCal braved the cold to bust a few moves in a hat and a 2 piece. DJ Digital Opinion got the party started and local band Victoria Project took the stage after he’d got the crowd warmed up and rocked them into party mode. Once everyone was up close and personal and all fired up the girls strutted their stuff. With a cool grand in cash for the winner there was plenty of strutting going down.

After a walk through and some questions from the judges (what good is beauty if it doesn't come with brains and personality?) the judges narrowed the field down to five finalists, and then cut it even further to the top three.

Ultimately it was crowd favorite kindergarten teacher Jessica Settle who got the nod and walked away with the cash. Victoria Project played an encore set while the finalists mingled with their fans doing some impromptu photoshoots. DJ Digtial Option took the party on into the night and the contestants and crowd jammed on, the girls very grateful that they could put on something a little warmer.

Wave House Durban have their Miss Wave House Bikini Pageant on December 16th. It's a lot warmer there right now so no beanies necessary!
